Nestled just outside Abingdon, Oxfordshire, Oxon Heli Collective is a warm and welcoming community for radio-controlled helicopter enthusiasts of all skill levels. As a club affiliated with the British Model Aircraft Association (BMFA), we take pride in fostering a supportive environment where hobbyists can share their passion and grow their skills.
Our membership includes around 20 enthusiastic pilots, ranging from beginners mastering their first hovers to seasoned experts performing advanced 3D aerobatics. Our members fly an exciting variety of helicopters, from nimble small electrics to powerful electric and nitro models.
If you're new to the hobby or looking for advice, you'll find plenty of experienced members eager to offer guidance and support.
Our flying field is conveniently located adjacent to Goose Willow Solar Farm on Hanney Road, between East Hanney and Steventon. While flying is allowed seven days a week, the field comes alive most weekends, weather permitting, with members gathering to enjoy the skies.

Before COVID, we enjoyed hosting monthly meetups at a local pub, providing a great opportunity for members to socialize and share their passion off the field. While these gatherings aren’t currently part of our routine, we’re open to bringing them back in the future if there’s interest from our members.
